About the event

Falls & Forests: A Yoga, Hiking + Paddleboarding Retreat

July 18–25 | Taquamenon Falls, Michigan

Step into a week of wild beauty, movement, and deep connection in the heart of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

Falls & Forests is an immersive, tent camping retreat designed for those who feel called to nature—where towering pines, rushing waterfalls, and the vast shoreline of Lake Superior become the backdrop for your practice.

We’ll spend our days exploring the magic of Tahquamenon Falls State Park, hiking to hidden waterfalls, wandering forested trails, and taking in the breathtaking landscapes of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore on a special day trip along the cliffs and shoreline.

This retreat is about returning to something simple and essential.

Lauren Neuman
E-RYT

Lauren Neuman is a yoga educator, wellness guide, community builder, retreat leader, and founder of The OM Garden.  Her work is rooted in a simple belief: we grow best when we're connected - to ourselves, to each other, and to the natural world around us.

What began as a love of yoga has evolved into a mission to create spaces where people can slow down, breathe deeply, move mindfully, and cultivate meaningful, lasting well-being.  Through yoga classes, teacher trainings, retreats, stand-up paddleboard yoga, wellness experiences, and mentorship, Lauren helps people build strength, resilience, self-awareness, and connection both on and off the mat.

Drawing from yoga, mindfulness, nervous system regulation practices, and a deep appreciation for nature, Lauren's approach is grounded, accessible, and refreshingly real.  She believes wellness isn't about perfection- it's about creating sustainable practices that help us feel more present, supported, and fully alive in our everyday lives.

When she's not teaching, you'll often find her tending plants, exploring the outdoors, planning adventures, or dreaming up new ways to bring people together in community.  Through The OM Garden, Lauren continues to create opportunities for people to learn, grow, connect, and thrive.
